Baroque has been created for Eaux Claires festival, produced by Aaron and Bryce Dessner (The National) and Bon Iver.
Born from the collaboration with Michael Brown – Eaux Claires creative director – and the English organist James McVinnie, Baroque features an unique convergence of visual art and music: a set of music for organ, played within a transparent organ-shaped sculpture.
The artwork takes its spatial development from the negative of the cube as a sculptural element, integrates perceptual and sensorial experience and redefines the concept of musical performance.
Baroque hosted the performances of organist James McVinnie and of the American organist Griffin McMahon.
