Locus is the visual-sound performance resulting from the collaboration with the musician IOSONOUNCANE within DERIVE, an experimental project of Art, Music and Poetry in Sapri (SA). The sculpture was created to accommodate the unpublished composition of the Italian musician in a dimension linked to the sea and in close contact with the elements.
The bay of Sapri, a place with a precise poetics and identity, becomes one of the essential elements of the event, acquiring a temporal and performative dimension.
By fusing different contemporary languages, the collaboration redefines the relationship between the public and the artist in a sort of unrepeatable hic et nunc. Locus is a temporary creature that makes contamination and the ephemeral elective themes of contemporaneity. Once its life cycle has been completed, it disappears, giving way to the pre-existing balance.
