Sacral brings together some of the main traits that characterize Edoardo Tresoldi’s work. The references to classical architectural elements such as arches, columns, and domes, the use of wire mesh shaping a new dimension in dialogue with light, weather, and the surrounding environment, the transparency of the Absent Matter – unique to Tresoldi’s poetics – are capable of weaving into space something that is not there.
The use of wire mesh projects the perception of classical archetypes into a strongly contemporary dimension, where visual and volumetric deconstructions occur, creating symphonies and contrasts between elements of the past and industrial material, while light defines their legibility in different conditions.
